Meet Dave Hayer
Dave Hayer is the Conservative Party of Canada’s MP candidate for the Electoral District of Fleetwood-Port Kells. Dave lives in the riding and is proud to have called Surrey his home since 1972. He and his wife Isabelle raised their four children in the Fleetwood area of this beautiful city.
Dave attended Queen Elizabeth Secondary, SFU, UBC, Douglas College and BCIT, graduating with Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from SFU and a Strategic Leadership Certificate from the UBC.
Dave’s experience includes diverse volunteer work, private sector, all levels of government and with diverse multicultural communities.
Dave was MLA from May 2001 to May 2013 for the Fleetwood, Port Kells, Fraser Heights, Guildford and Tynehead areas. Dave was also Parliamentary Secretary for Multiculturalism and Immigration from 2005 to 2011.
Dave’s mission is to be your accessible, effective, honest, and reliable federal Member of Parliament who will get things done for constituents.
He believes in building strong communities and has volunteered for many non-profit organizations for over 33 years, serving as President of Rotary Club of Surrey in 2019 & 1999, President of Surrey Crime Prevention Society 1995-1996, President of Surrey Board of Trade 1996-1997, Director on Kwantlen Polytechnic University Board 1999-2001, and director of many other non-profit organizations.
