Statement from Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole on Eid al-Adha

Ottawa, ON – The Hon. Erin O’Toole, Leader of Canada’s Conservatives and the Official Opposition, released the following statement on Eid al-Adha:

“Today, Muslims in Canada and around the world celebrate Eid al-Adha, one of the holiest days in the Islamic calendar.

“This is a time to reflect on principles of love, faith, and sacrifice.

“A period marked by charitable donations; personal sacrifices; and the sharing of food with family, friends, and neighbours.

“While gatherings and pilgrimages will look different this year, I know Muslims are finding safe ways to commemorate.

“On behalf of Canada’s Conservatives, wishing everyone celebrating a blessed Eid al-Adha.

“Eid Mubarak!”
